Side story Updated Sep 27, 2026
Into the Valley of Death starts when you speak to Pope in the Oldest House lobby at the beginning of Recursions and Iterations. Langston’s research lead — not required for the main story.
On the way back into the Sinkhole you can talk to Dombrow on a mid platform (Personnel Access) for related progress, then continue the Sinkhole descent for the main quest.
Pick it up early so it does not get buried under Unknown cleanup.
