The Aberrant is Dylan Faden’s shapeshifting supernatural melee weapon. It reforms into different armaments mid-fight and is the center of Resonant’s combat identity.
Primary and secondary forms
You equip a primary and secondary form and swap between them. Official previews emphasize pairings such as heavy and fast configurations — think roles (stagger pressure vs speed) rather than collecting every skin first.
How forms fit the fight
- Pressure forms — keep enemies in hitstun / build stagger
- Burst forms — capitalize when a window opens
- Ability synergy — some forms pair better with specific powers (Barrage, Volatile Anomaly, etc.)
