CONTROL Resonant Staging Lab & Testing Facilities — Unsupervised Science

PowerPyx-aligned Updated Oct 3, 2026

CONTROL Resonant staging lab, downtown testing facility, and zone lab searches are all Unsupervised Science — six underground FBC Testing Facilities. Clear each experiment for Threshold Researcher (also needs The Last Taxi thresholds).

Map tip Markers often sit above the lab — look for construction pits, sewer pipes, or “Restricted Facility” signs nearby, not a door on the pin.

All 6 Testing Facilities

  1. Downtown — Testing Facility Reade / east side — soda dispenser puzzle
  2. Central — construction east of Patterned Factory — Power Core transfer
  3. Evacuation Zone — hole by Survivalist’s Bunker fast travel — soda dispenser
  4. West Incursion Zone — south of House of Mirrors / hole in the road — soda dispenser
  5. The Park — sewer / “Restricted Facility” sign — Power Core transfer
  6. Unknown (final / Threshold) — ground-level pipe SW of Twisted Rooftops fast travel — 5-core Power Core shutdown, then Threshold

How to approach

  1. Reveal the zone Map Kit so markers read clearly.
  2. Enter, complete the experiment, collect the Power Upgrade / notes, move on.
  3. After all six: return to the Unknown facility, open the Threshold side door, navigate the named corridors to Dr. Grant’s body / Final Report.

Puzzle tips

  • Soda machines — change states until the experiment accepts the correct combination.
  • Power Cores — start the shutdown timer; move charge from blinking blue → blinking red cores until towers stay green (Unknown has five cores — keep cycling).
  • Bring Shift / Reach for some entrances; nothing is missable after the story.
